I have some thoughts and some updates.
I rarely do these newsletters/blogs until later in the month, but I already have a lot to say this June. It’s Pride Month, which is very important to me for several reasons, I’m demi/pansexual, I have many LBGTQ+ loved ones, and I’m all about people celebrating who they are, whether that’s for their sexuality or gender identity, heritage, religious beliefs, or anything else. Life is too short not to love yourself and to skip out on celebrations.
This year, Pride Month has been tough. I’m from Florida and I’m splitting my time between Florida and Texas now. It’s… hard. I’m more concerned for the people I love who live in these states than myself. I’ve learned how to defend myself over the last 41 years. My kids though? I don’t want them to be targets just because of who I am. In this day and age, that’s a valid concern.
But I will not hide just because my existence offends some people.

I’ve been afraid. I’ve felt alone. Last weekend at Comicpalooza though, changed my perspective. I met so many delightful people in the local LGBTQ+ community and I met a lot of amazing allies. They need more voices to drown out the hate, and they appreciated the book rep that Amy Campbell and I brought to our booth.
I won’t be silent any time soon. In fact, I’m getting louder.
Book Deals!
I’m really excited about some fantasy Pride Month book deals that I discovered (and was honored to be invited to).
Over the Rainbow Book Fair

If you would like a FREE fantasy book with LGBTQ+ rep, you can sign up for the newsletters from these authors. Check out the Over the Rainbow Book Fair!
Fantasy Pride Book Sale

If you would rather pay a very low price instead of signing up for another newsletter, check out the Fantasy Pride Book Sale!
You’ll notice that my Telverin Trilogy starter, Struggling With the Current, is in both promotions. If you’re reading this, there’s a very good chance you’ve already subscribed to my newsletter. So, if you haven’t already grabbed that book, here’s an opportunity to read it for free without signing up for another newsletter. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean, know what I mean* I like giving away free ebooks when I can.
Speaking of free ebooks!
June isn’t just Pride Month, it’s also the month Heroes & Harbingers published. Because it’s the book’s 1-year anniversary AND I’m celebrating Pride, I decided to make the ebook free on several sites. All links for purchase are on the book description page here. (Note: If you’re not in the US, Amazon didn’t make the ebook free for you, but it’s free for any country on all the other sites linked on that page.)

Upcoming Event

If you’re in the Houston area, please come see me at the Tomball Author Fest! I’ll be signing books, giving out free bookmarks, and probably speaking on an author panel.
That about wraps it up. I think…
There’s a chance I’ll be writing another blog later this month, since I love writing about myths, folklore, and fairytales. So, keep an eye on your email inbox.
Did you like reading this? Then, you’ll love my books!
